Sit-Ski Cross Country Frames
TRAILS program has a variety of cross country sit-skis. The perfect choice of a sit-ski depends on the type and level of the skier’s injury and experience in cross-country skiing. Skiers with none or very limited trunk function and control, need a ‘glove seat’ that is a steeper seat with good back support. Typically, these skiers also need their legs closer to their body and/or knees in higher position to maximize stability. Skiers with good trunk control can use a flat seat with minimum back support. These frames allow skiers to have options to ski their legs more in front/straight down or even their feet placed underneath the frame. Traditionally, Nordic sit-skis have no springs or flexible articulations in any segments of the sit ski, including the connections with the skis.
